PageLens, Terms of Service

Thanks for installing PageLens. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you (“you,” “merchant”) and KRV Holdings LLC, an Ohio limited liability company (USA) and the operator of the PageLens product (“PageLens,” “we,” “us”). These Terms govern your use of the PageLens Shopify app (the “App”).
By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please uninstall.
1. What PageLens does
PageLens is a Shopify-embedded app that:
- Scans your public storefront homepage and identifies what scripts and resources are loading
- Attributes each script to its likely owning app
- Measures your storefront’s speed score using third-party measurement services
- Reads your active theme’s files to detect leftover code left behind by previously-uninstalled apps
- Detects images in below-the-fold templates that could load later for a speed win
- Links you to the right file in Shopify’s theme editor when you choose to fix something
PageLens is strictly read-only in v1. It does not modify your theme, your products, your customers, or any other store data.
2. Your account and your responsibilities
- You must be authorized to install and configure apps on the Shopify shop where you install PageLens.
- You agree not to abuse, reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or the underlying infrastructure.
- When you choose to act on a finding by editing your theme in Shopify’s theme editor, you are responsible for the change. Shopify keeps per-file revision history in the theme editor so you can restore any file you change by mistake.
3. Fixes and edits
- PageLens never writes to your theme. When we find a problem, we link you to the file in Shopify’s theme editor with a single click.
- You stay in control of every change. Nothing happens unless you click “Save” inside Shopify’s own editor.
- If you delete or edit a file and regret it, Shopify’s theme code editor shows the full revision history for that file. You can restore any prior version with one click.
4. Pricing and billing
- Free tier: one scan per 7 days, see every finding, fix manually in Shopify’s theme editor.
- Pro tier (USD $15/month at launch): unlimited scans, weekly automatic background scan, speed history, priority email support, and every additional feature we ship.
- Pricing may change with at least 30 days’ notice via in-app banner.
- All billing is processed through Shopify’s billing platform. You’ll see the charge on your Shopify invoice. We never see your payment details.
- You can downgrade or cancel any time from Shopify’s billing page. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.
5. Trial
PageLens does not offer a free trial at launch. The free tier is permanently free so you can evaluate the product without time pressure. Upgrade to Pro when you want unlimited scans and automatic weekly checks.
6. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App to scan any store you don’t own or have written permission to administer
- Use automated tools to scrape, replay, or stress-test the App’s API endpoints
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the App without our written permission
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided “AS IS.” While we test rigorously, no automated detector is perfect. We are not responsible for losses arising from:
- A false-positive finding that the merchant chose to act on
- Storefront issues unrelated to actions taken via PageLens
- Outages or limits of Shopify, our third-party measurement providers, or our infrastructure providers
- Performance metrics that don’t match your business expectations

8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the App is capped at the total amount you’ve paid us in the 3 months immediately preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost goodwill, or business interruption.
9. Termination
You can uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse our infrastructure, or fail to pay. On termination, we delete your data per our Privacy Policy (within 48 hours).
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app with at least 30 days’ notice. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of the state and federal courts of Ohio.
